Thank you to Pamela Capon for supplying the following useful review and information…
What make and model of mobility scooter do you have?
I have a Shoprider Cadiz.
Where did you buy this from?
I bought it on line from CareCo discount mobility.
How much did you pay?
It cost me £1249.49 ( £700 cheaper than I could get it locally).
What do you like about your particular scooter?
I had a solid wheeled Rascal Partner at first and found that I felt every bump in the pavements when I rode it., causing me problems with my spine.
The Shoprider has pneumatic tyres and all round suspension which gives a much more comfortable ride.
I like everything about my Shoprider.
What do you dislike about your particular scooter?
Nothing
Out of 10 what would you score your mobility scooter?
10/10
Does it cost much to run?
The running costs are next to nothing.
Do you have any advice for others thinking of buying a mobility scooter?
I would strongly advise anyone thinking of buying one to try some out first. Also to get advice on the correct and safe use of a mobility scooter, get it insured and, finally, to download a copy of “Mobility scooters and powered wheel chairs on the road – some guidance for users” from The Department for Transport. Even if you only intend to use one on the pavement there are plenty of things relevant to both pavement and road legal scooters in it. Lastly, just enjoy the freedom!!!!
